 Sound drops out intermittently Aug 23, 2010
When I saw these selling for much cheaper than what you'll find in Best Buy/etc I bought a bunch (in 2008) figuring they'd be good to have handy for future use.
In the last year I connected one of them and it seemed ok except for one issue. The sound would often not engage when turning on the television. I would need to unplug and replug the cable to get the sound working again. At first I thought it was an issue with the television I was using but since then I've tried the cables on additional televisions and have experienced the same problem on them as well.
The shipping costs on these significantly raise the total price. That plus the aggravation & loss of time makes the money I thought I saved on these cables not worth it at all.

Now that I have a 6 Ft. HMDI cable, I can finally move my home theater rack around a little. Before I made this purchase if I move my rack at all it was with great difficulty. This cable works great at a low price, you cannot beat that now days.Thanks

Really, the title of this review is the only thing you really need to read. I could sit here and tell you about HDMI 1.2/1.3 spec and what it means for you, but you'd just end up confused and wondering whether or not you should buy this. The fact is, as a digital cable, either it works or it doesn't, so spending a ton of money on another brand of cable (lets say Monster, they're price astronomically enough) isn't going to get a better picture for you. I bought two of these, one to go from my HD-DVD player to my LG 720P 42" plasma TV and another to go from my PS3 to the same TV. In both cases, the cable works wonderfully. The picture is great and the sound works without a hitch. I've got no complains, especially not at less than $3 per cable (shipped from EForcity).

Consumer Reports Says: Buy HDTV at Amazon!
Washington, D.C. (July 2010) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)
The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2009 and June 2010. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its July 2010 issue.)
"Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."
Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com came closest.
