5Can't find a better TV for this price!  Apr 21, 2010
I've had this TV for 9 months now and it is a gem! I got it for $1550.00 at [...] and WOW what a value. the 120hz + true motion is superb but it does take some getting used to. And if you don't like it... you can turn it off or put it on low! Vizio and other TV's do not have this feature. The sound is great, fills the room up very nicely but don't expect perfection, they are TV speakers. The picture is superb, i have a DLP as well and this picture is much clearer. The colors jump off the screen and the blacks are perfect! The one draw back is the halo effect, it only happens when the screen is black and there is white letters but this only happens during credits and thats about it so... who cares!?! Get this TV if you can find one, it is LG's first generation LED and it is a good one. It's got tons of features to mess around, easy to navigate menu, and great looking! Black and blue... YES! very thin, and it also has a very good swivel stand that sold me on it. The on/off buttons on the TV are touch sensitive and very good looking. If you can find this TV for under 1800, your golden. LG did it right and i won't be second guessing my purchase any time soon. 5 stars!

5Great Picture  Feb 07, 2010
I bought this TV because it had an LED back-lit panel. The picture is brilliant, the colors pop out. The view is good from almost any angle. It generates very little heat. It was the best price performance LED LCD we could find. I wasn't disappointed. As an extra, the delivery man was courteous and helped me place it and test it.

5couldn't be happier  Aug 07, 2009
the quality of this tv is amazing everyone i know that owns an HDTV says that this one is so much better, the difference between 60 & 120Hz is crazy, even watching a 700 mb 90 min AVI movie on this tv still looks awesome which i thought it would be horrible quality on such a big tv. Anyways you might find other TVs for cheaper with the same specs, but take it from someone who used to fix TVs for LG their customer service is so much better than any other company i have seen that on the rare instance something goes wrong they will take good care of you.

5short term review  Jul 19, 2009
Picture definitely with more contrast and brighter than a regular LCD. I had to switch trumotion off because the feature made all movies look like a reality show.

5Freaking awesome  Jul 18, 2009
This is the first HDTV I've ever purchased and I feel good about it. It's a beautiful picture, right out of the box. It took me about 10 minutes to unpack, another 5 to connect, and another 5 to configure. Out of the box, I have zero complaints about the picture settings. So far, the only thing in the image I dislike is the halo around candles/bulbs in a really dark setting. Other than that, this is a fantastic t.v.! You can view the image from any angle and the tru-motion/local dimming features make for a significantly sharp/contrasted image. Once in a while, you get a guy that has been working on t.v.s his whole life and starts bashing every little non-perfect thing about a t.v., but if you work, eat food, and watch t.v., this LG is for you! Energy Star, 120Hz, LED backlit, VESA 200x200 mounting, anti-reflective screen, super easy menu system, amazing picture..... come on! Buy one now! - Josh - Fairborn, OH - 18 Jul 09

Consumer Reports Says: Buy HDTV at Amazon!

Washington, D.C. (July 2010) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)

The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2009 and June 2010. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its July 2010 issue.)

"
Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."

Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com came closest.
