4Just what I needed!  Jun 07, 2010
Finally - cables that are the right length! And, they're from Monster! The only complaint I have is that the grips are a bit wide so that it's hard to get a good grip on them because there's no room for your fingers. My receiver has all of the component jacks grouped together, so there's not much room. These connectors were a bit wider than others.

3Bulky connectors  Oct 14, 2009
The connectors are too bulky to fit next to other connectors in the back of most receivers. Not necessarily worth the higher cost of Monster brand.

5Great fix for HD  May 20, 2009
I bought these cables to hook up my parents' HDTV to their Verizon Fios. The HDMI cable that was provided by Verizon did not come close to providing the true HD quality of the signal. These cables were miraculous! It was an easy set-up and when we saw the difference in the picture, we were all blown away.

5Great cable  Jan 24, 2009
I bought this cable to see if I could improve the picture of a Sony DVD player that I have linked to a 27" trinitron. There is a noticeable improvement in the picture over the previous component cable that I was using. Not sure of the brand, but pretty sure I got previous ones from Walmart.

The Monster cable makes the colors much more vibrant.

I ordered the Monster cable from ProCablesDirect for about $18. Got them in 2 days. Very pleased.

5Great Cables  Oct 06, 2008
Item just as described. Works perfectly and worth every penny. It DOES make a difference on what cables you buy no matter what other people say. The ones that cant see a difference arnt using it on top of the line products. I have a Sony XBR5 and the picture is awesome with these cables. I have tried others that dont look as well, but were cheaper. You get what you pay for. If you are willing to spend $5000+ on a TV then pony up the bucks for the good cables to match.

Consumer Reports Says: Buy HDTV at Amazon!

Washington, D.C. (July 2010) -- When it comes to price, Consumer Reports says shoppers are most likely to find the best deals online. And the publication called three ecommerce sites "standouts" in this year's Consumer Reports ratings of electronics stores: Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com and B&H (bhphotovideo.com)

The magazine's survey was based on more than 38,000 purchases of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, between January 2009 and June 2010. The report indicated that online stores consistently offered better prices. (The magazine's full report can be found in its July 2010 issue.)

"
Buying online can be better," the magazine said in a press release. "The higher-rated electronics retailers in Consumer Reports annual reader survey are Web sites. Readers who bought online rated their overall satisfaction at 90 out of 100 -- higher than those who bought in a store. Additionally, many Web merchants offer free shipping, even on TVs, which could spare the hassle of struggling to fit a bulky carton in the car or paying a local store for delivery."

Consumer Reports said that while no single retailer scored excellent in all shopping categories, Amazon.com came closest.
